Adopt

One of the best things you can do to help reduce the number of homeless pets in San Antonio is adopt a dog or cat from a local animal shelter! There are plenty of healthy, loving dogs and cats waiting to be a part of your family who need a second chance. But before you run out to adopt your new pet, do your homework. When choosing a new pet, consider the age of the pet you want, your lifestyle, and how much time and resources you are able to give and spend.

The Alamo Area Partners for Animal Welfare (AAPAW) hold super adoption events throughout the year. Supported by rescue and adoption groups throughout Bexar County, AAPAW adoption events place around 200 animals in loving homes.  If you would be interested in participating in, or hosting a super adoption event, please contact AAPAW.

Animals are available for adoption every day of the week from adoption agencies and rescue groups.
